JURY REASONING

Best Show Award
“It’s not a show for children – digital ballad for a piece of wood” – Uao Spettacoli Roma

It is not a show for children, it is a show for all those who want to keep their conscience alive and active. Author Marco Berardi presents an adult Pinocchio in the present day, struggling with the guilt and wounds of the past. Collodi’s fable is toppled, devoid of any edifying warning and full of unsettling fragility and cutting questions about the role of the father figure. The former puppet, now a man incapable of love, realizes that he has been manipulated by his fictional and authorship. The articulate direction of Federico Vigorito, who skilfully uses scenographic elements, live video and a meaningful and communicative soundtrack, and the interpretation of Camillo Marcello Ciorciaro, who is extraordinary in combining different recitative registers, manages to dig

deep into the psyche and give us a story that moves and moves
