Traveling with children, adventures in the Movimënt park – Escape

CORVARA IN BADIA – For those traveling with the whole family and looking for an outdoor activity holiday in the Dolomites, they can choose Alta Badia and the children’s area Movimënt, a green plateau full of surprises that can also be reached by ski lifts. Here, large spaces allow you to practice sports, play games and outdoor educational activities among meadows, shelters and hills to be discovered safely. The Alta Badia Summer Card, free for children up to 8 years old and with reduced prices for children up to 16 years old, completes the offers in one of the most fun child-friendly areas in the Alps. Every week children and teenagers have a rich program of activities and sports to do in groups, of routes to discover bees or local legends and parks where you can have fun with water games and climbing walls. Every day there are guided activities and games to try: until August 31 every Monday and Thursday, geocaching allows you to hunt for hidden treasures with the GPS, go from Piz La Ila to Piz Sorega. Equipped with a map and compass, you can try orienteering: Tuesdays until 6 September or Fridays until 2 September, you can orientate yourself in the forest and among the mountain huts. Every Thursday you can play Dolomites bingo: in the woods and meadows you go in search of small elements of nature to complete a series of numbered objects and win a gift.
For those who love bikes, Movimënt organizes 3 weekly e-mtb tours departing from La Ila: two easy routes on Tuesdays and Sundays until September 18th, and one of medium difficulty every Thursday until September 15th.
Also on Thursday, until September 15, Movimënt dles Ês is the perfect deal for those who want to learn more about the world of bees: at Piz La Ila with an expert guide, children discover many curiosities about these insects through themed games, beehives can be observed from inside and small challenges. Finally, on the 7th and 17th of August, Movimënt Day returns to transform Piz La Ila into a “Wonderland”: there is a party with street performers, magicians and jugglers in meadows and forests. The event is designed for families and also features live music and fun activities for the little ones.
But it doesn’t end there: at Piz Sorega there is mini golf dedicated to the bear, a stone and wood circuit that ends in an educational and playful cave where you can learn about the animal symbol of this territory. In the area there is also a park with water games, slides, a pump track, a path with bumps and jumps for making jumps with the bike – and an area where you can challenge yourself with archery. At Piz La Ila, outdoor sports are practiced among climbing walls dedicated to all ages, a wooden pump track circuit perfect for cycling and a slackline area for balance exercises of different heights and degrees of difficulty. On the way from Piz La Ila to the Braia Fraia chairlift, however, there is a surprise: by downloading the Movimënt app, you get access to an interactive game based on the legend of King Ombro and Ombretta, which belongs to the oral traditions of the Ladins. History overlaps with reality as you walk through the locations where the story takes place.
To move between the different areas of Movimënt, there is a network of paths that can be easily traveled on foot, with e-bikes or with comfortable “off-road” strollers, specially designed to allow families with small children to appreciate the mountain routes. The latter can be rented at Piz La Ila, at PizSorega and at Col Alt. Three days a week from 1.30pm to 4pm, the children’s hour is active, when the specialist animators at Movimënt offer free activities, games and workshops for children. to relax or play sports.
