The handover ceremony was held this morning at the command of the Military Air Force Specialists School, between Colonel Roberto Impegno, outgoing commander, and Colonel Francesco Sassara, future commander.

The ceremony was led by Air Squad General Silvano Frigerio, Head of the AM / 3 ^ Air Region of Bari Schools, in the presence of the civil, religious and military authorities of Caserta and the province.

In his farewell speech, Colonel Roberto Impegno thanked the Higher Authorities for the trust in him and all the representatives of the institutions, associations and civil society for the exceptional cooperation and closeness to the Caserta Institute throughout the command period, from July 2020 to July 2022. He also expressed his gratitude to The staff of the specialist school for their commitment and the results in a historic phase marked by both the pandemic, which has not stopped the institutional mission, the pedagogical activities and the innovative planning in the formative field. of the historic Caserta Institute, emerging from the severe international crisis in Ukraine. This last event, with its consequences for the local territory in terms of the reception of Ukrainian refugees, almost exclusively women and children, who fled the crisis areas and arrived in Caserta and its province, was another opportunity that was positively seized by the staff of the Specialist School. to express the best of itself also in supporting the local community with the timely establishment of a hub for first reception and health screening within the institute, as well as, during the Covid 19 pandemic, from 3 December 2020 and to date, in collaboration with Casertas ASL has the school hosted and supported a Drive Through for nasopharyngeal inoculations to limit and contrast the spread of Covid 19 among the civilian population.

Colonel Roberto Impegno then recalled the important results achieved in specialized training, especially for aircraft maintenance technicians, whose training courses have been completely revised with extraordinary attention to quality processes and the strengthening of the newly enriched training infrastructures, including the acquisition of a training hangar at 9 ° Stormo of Grazzanise (CE) equipped with three aircraft for practical maintenance, an AMX, an SF260 and an OH-500.

Colonel Commitment then addressed the vocational school course participants: “I wish you a peaceful and satisfying future in our armed forces. Be the main characters in your professional life, be proud to belong to an extraordinary family in blue in the service of the country “.

At the end of the farewell speech, he warmly wishes the new commander the exciting path that awaits him, in order to guarantee the Specialist School also in the future to be at the forefront of the complex sector of specialist medical education.

Colonel Francesco Sassara, who takes command of the Specialist School 255 days after the Air Force’s hundredth anniversary (March 28, 2023), in his first speech as head of the Air Force Specialist School, together with a greeting to the representatives of local institutions and guests who attended the ceremony, thanked the head of the schools / 3rd Air Region of Bari for the trust in him and Colonel Roberto Impegno for “the precious support and unconditional availability “.

The future commander then approached the staff of the Specialist School, who was asked to work in vocational training to confirm: “human value, to build skills, to create the conditions for everyone to develop their own path to human, social and professional growth and fulfillment. It is therefore with this in mind that I expect you all, men and women from the Air Force Specialist School, to feel part of this team that guards and interprets the value of training with passion and competence. (…) I want to be among you, among the students, with the sole purpose of putting everyone in the best conditions to operate and learn, as “cooperation” will allow us to meet the challenges that await us in a coherent way and with unity. of intent “.

He then added: “All this with the spirit that has always excelled Air Force personnel who, after reaching the milestone in its 100-year history, with solid roots, are projected towards the future to capture the next challenges and inspire the new generations.” .
