Let’s talk about PON “Environments and laboratories for education and training in the ecological transition “, provided for in Government Order No. 50636 of 27 December 2021 – ERDF – REACT EU.
The purpose of the project.
The executive order aims to create spaces and laboratories for education and training in the ecological transition and is divided into two actions: the first action “Edugreen: sustainability laboratories for the first cycle” provides for the establishment of gardens and kitchen gardens educationally, innovative and sustainable, before for one or more complexes of the first cycle school institutions; The second action “Green, sustainable and innovative laboratories for secondary schools” aims to promote the creation of laboratory environments for the ecological transformation of upper secondary schools.
Action 1 – “Edugreen: sustainability laboratories for the first cycle“- provides for the construction or rearrangement of educational gardens and gardens for educational, innovative and sustainable purposes within one or more complexes of the first cyclical school institutions, also aimed at rebuilding gardens and courtyards, transforming them into environments for exploring and learning curricula; disciplines, healthy lifestyles, sustainability, promoting in students an experiential and immersive understanding of the natural world and a meaningful and lasting environmental education.Pedagogical gardens make it possible to learn in a cooperative way, taking on the responsibility of caring for the environment and ecosystem , with positive and joyful emotional influences.Care for these school spaces can also promote the involvement of parents and volunteers, strengthening the school’s role in society.
Action 2 – “Green, sustainable and innovative workshops for upper secondary schools“- intends to promote the creation of laboratory environments for the ecological transition, in particular of the agri-food chain, in second-cycle schools in the southern regions (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily), with priority to agricultural schools, which need state-of-the-art laboratories for the annexed agricultural holdings, in order to restructure the production system and ensure full environmental and process sustainability. address:
- Of pedagogical laboratories of “agriculture 4.0”, whether or not using hydroponic technologies
- of digital crop monitoring systems based on IoT (Internet of Things)
- digital tools for quality, food safety, product traceability,
- laboratories for sustainable nutrition
- laboratories for the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency
- laboratories on environmental sustainability for the study and experimentation of the impact of economic activities on the environment, on waste production, on air quality, on the consumption of water, energy, soil and other natural resources and for the recycling of waste.
The effort will be financed by the resources made available by Regulation (EU) No 2020/2221 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 December 2020 amending Regulation (EU) No 1303/2013 on additional resources and means of implementation to provide assistance to promote the overcoming of the effects of the crisis in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and its social consequences and to prepare for a green, digital and robust economic recovery (REACTEU) as part of the national operational program “; For schools, skills and learning environments “2014-2020 – European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This measure also helps to achieve the objectives set out in the “School ReGeneration” plan promoted by the Ministry of Education.
For each school, the grant amount for Action 1 “Edugreen: Sustainability Laboratories for the first cycle” is equal to € 25,000.00.
The funding for Action 2 “Green, sustainable and innovative laboratories for upper secondary schools” is equal to 130,000.00 euros. 3.
