Exciting semester end from kl The bridge. The Milanese auction house aims to archive the first half of 2022 with three first-class charms. All different, all at the height of the great growth that the fashion house in via Pontaccio has made itself the main character for some time now. Pieces from collections signed by the crowned maison. First of all, the model Rolex, Cosmograph Daytona “Paul Newman” Ref. 6262 (lot 386, estimated € 150,000 – 175,000), recognizable on the peculiar two-tone “Panda” disc. This iconic chronograph takes its name from the car race that Rolex still sponsors in Florida, Daytona Beach, and owes its fame to the famous actor Paul Newman, whom it pays homage to by the nickname.

Model Rolex, GMT-Master II “Rootbeer” Ref. 126715CHNR (lot 385, estimated € 45,000 – 50,000) tells about the technological developments that watches have experienced. Its “dual time” function stems from the need of the first pilots of the Pan Am airline, which around the 1950s covered transcontinental flights. The acronym GMT stands for “Greenwich Mean Time”, as the model was integrated with the ability to read a different time zone, and which is presented here in a version of 2021 everose gold 18K with the new caliber 3285.

Prior to a special exhibition, the auction sees among its finest pieces the elliptical mirror with crystal prism frame designed by Max magnification in the 50s (lot 156, estimated € 11,000 – 12.00)a pair of wall lamps in carved and chiseled crystal by the same author (lot 155, estimated € 9,000 – 10,000) and a floor lamp with a flower vase designed by Pietro Chiesa in the 1940s (lot 157, estimated € 17,000 – 20,000).

Of Yoichi Ohira a blue charcoal vase. A unique piece in blown glass, decorated with star-shaped murrin in milky glass and with powder and aventurine inclusions (lot 136, estimated € 8,000 – 12,000).

The “Bacchaekoppen” is unique, designed in 1956 by Oskar Kokoschkaperformed by the glazier Albino Carrara for the Ferro e Lazzarini oven and decorated with engravings made by Dal Pos at the SALIR factory (lot 110, estimated € 9,000 -10,000).

Produced by Tiffany Studios in New York, the table lamp with “Peony” lampshade and six-legged bronze base. An Art Nouveau masterpiece that sums up the vitalistic inspiration for the strength and beauty of nature that moved the artists of the time (lot 129, estimated € 12,000 – 18,000).
