Everything is ready for the second edition of “Oliveti Aperti” the national event organized by the Consortium for the Protection of PDO Riviera Ligure Oil, in collaboration with the Qualivita Foundation and with the support of the Liguria region, which from 18 to 19 June 2022 will animate the Ligurian tourism from the west and east, and which will also host Tourism Minister Massimo Garavaglia and Deputy Secretary Gian Marco Centinaio.
Seven major initiatives designed to make the Ligurian DOP oil supply chain the protagonist: corporate adventure tourism (June 18-19), the unpublished trails for DOP Riviera Ligure oil (June 18-19), tastings of “Pane eo” Olio “Liguria Gourmet Restaurants (June 8-18), Oil Tour Liguria by bike (June 4-17), DOP Tourism Round Table Conference (June 18), Oleo Tourism Conference (June 17) and a press tour for to talk about the heroic regional olive cultivation (June 18-19). Unique guide, the Ligurian comedian Dario Vergassola, who will accompany the story to the discovery of the territory and the visit to historical sites and symbols such as ‘dry stone walls’, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018.

The absolute main characters will be the 28 producers of Riviera Ligure DOP Oil, located throughout Liguria, from west to east, which will offer tourists several types of experiences in the name of DOP oil and its territory: trekking and cycling routes, visits to olive groves and mills , tastings of typical products, art routes, educational workshops and cultural and food and wine events.
New for all trekking enthusiasts will be the 13 unpublished “Riviera Ligure DOP oil trails” – free as long as there are enough places and in collaboration with the Italian association of environmental hiking guides – to be traveled on foot among the historic olive groves in the region accompanied by expert guides, before they taste the traditional products that the companies offer.
