What to do this weekend: Opera festival, art and courses for children

Summer is getting closer and closer and despite the uncertain weather of the last days, the agenda of events in our territory continues to be enriched with initiatives of all kinds, including exhibitions, concerts, tastings and cultural meetings. Here we offer you a selection of the appointments planned for the weekend, and refer you, for a complete picture, to the section agenda of the Giornale di Brescia.

The musical reviews

Fantastic wait The return of the Opera Festivalorganized by The founding of the Teatro Grande: Saturday, June 11, from dawn to midnight, Brescia welcomes over 40 musical eventsscattered around town squares, streets, courtyards, and some new spaces that had not yet hosted performances before this edition. Preview of the big event dedicated to the opera will be held today, friday the 10th. at three different locations – Palazzo di Giustizia, Casazza Park and Oratorio Santa Maria in Silva. Rock’n’roll and Irish people instead of the “hybrid” event of Photo musical meetingin between music and photography, which will be held on Saturday the 11th atThe old Wuhrer brewery (Viale Bornata). The evening, led by Emi Baronchelli, features a projection of 50 photographs of historical report by Gian Butturini (London, Derry), accompanied by the famous Beatles songs (performed live by Rolando Giambelli) and by Irish music and dance (Alessandro Amadei and Annalisa Bellitto Grillo). The time is at 21.00 and there is free admission.

In the province, space for reviews: second date of the 10th edition of Sounds and tastes of Garda Festival is this Saturday at Gardone Riviera (Fasano below), near the SS church. Faustino and Giovita. 21.15 Kaori Ogasawara and Silvia Sesenna perform “Mozart and Beethoven’s Sonatas for Violin and Piano”.

TO Cigoleinstead ofAForest Festival – Raising Weird Fun intends to promote independent music in the park Cigola Martinoni Palace; also on site the three evenings Thursday, Friday and Saturday food stands, craft beer and stalls. Admission is free and the doors open at 6.30pm.

From year to year, the original photographic heritage constitutes the “raw material” for the opening exhibition of the tourist season. The exhibition lasts another month (July 10).

In the cityby Tosio Martinengo Art Gallerythe path dedicated to eighteenth-century painting by Giacomo Ceruti has been enriched for a few weeks by portrait of Carlo Emanuele Massaowned by Cavallini-Sgarbi Foundation – from an idea by Vittorio Sgarbi. The program within which the loan falls is eligible PTM round trip and includes three other events until September this year.

Collegiate Basilica of Saints Nazaro and Celso houses Face to face with Titian, from an idea by David Dotti. If concerts and art exhibitions are not enough either activities to be performed with the family they are not missing.

To Castelli Park of Brescia, the sports association Together towards the goal arranged a day dedicated to sports for the little ones: On Saturday 11 June, children aged 3 to 12 will be able to experience outdoor basketball, rugby, power stone and much more. Castelli will be divided into engaging play areas and all participants will be offered a snack with milk-based products and fresh fruit. Admission is free and activities start at 15.30.

The fun continues with i motocross courses Saturday d JR Moto Academy: the lessons are aimed at children aged 4 and over, with itonly requirement to know how to cycle independently without wheels. Motorcycles and equipment are provided directly on site by the school; the courses last two hours and take place at the motocross tracks Manerbio or Bagnolo Mella.
