FROM JUNE 9 TO SEPTEMBER 24, 10 LAKES INCLUDED AND 7 LOMBARD PROVINCES

(mi-lorenteggio.com) Milan, June 8, 2022. The fifth edition of the ‘Festival of the Lombard Lakes’, scheduled for June 9 to September 24, was presented at the Palazzo Lombardia.

There are 24 events between music, theater, comedy and literature. There are 10 lakes involved: Maggiore, Como, Iseo, Garda, Ceresio, Annone, Varese, Mantua, Mezzola, Monate. A large freshwater area uniting 7 Lombard provinces (Bergamo, Brescia, Varese, Mantua, Lecco, Como and Sondrio), the Piedmontese province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola and neighboring Switzerland with Lugano. The opening night on June 9 will be held by the Vittoriale degli Italiani in the Gardone Riviera.

‘ACQUOSSISSIMA LOMBARDIA’ – “The great Carlo Cattaneo – comments on the Regional Council for Autonomy and Culture – speaks of a very watery Lombardy, alluding to the vast heritage of lakes and rivers that characterize our territory. It is a strip between the plain and the mountain, which, as a kind of hinge, connects them and defines the precise physiognomy at the foot of Lombardy. their civil traditions, their myths and their rituals, their behavioral models and their mentalities collective.

THEATER CANZONE – Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera (Bs) this year hosts the opening of the festival on June 9 with ‘Dead binary’, a theater show, song and literature with Andrea Vitali, Francesco Pellicini, Max Peroni and Fazio Armellini , who also closes the event on September 24 in Maccagno with Pino Veddasca (Va).

The appointments dedicated to singing theater continue on June 10 in Sesto Calende (Va) with Matteo Carassini directed by Flavio Stoppini, on July 31 in Cernobbio (Co) with ‘La Farfalla Gigi Meroni’ with Maicol Trotta, Giordano Fenocchio, Fazio Armellini, Max Peroni and Francesco Pellicini in collaboration with Parolario Como Literary Festival and Spazio Libro Festival on tour, reading emotions.

MUSIC – 7 musical events are planned from the concert with Lucio Battisti’s musicians on June 10 in Ponti sul Mincio (Mn). Great attention to blues with Fabrizio Poggi in Desenzano del Garda (Bs) on June 29, Nick Becattini Band in Sesto Calende (Va) on July 8 and Treves Blues Band in Lecco on August 12. The Maga Museum in Gallarate (Va) hosts the Sergio Caputo Trio on July 2, while the festival on August 4 welcomes Giorgio Contes back to Verbania (Vco). On August 6 in Iseo they play on the strings of Alter Echo as a tribute to Ennio Morricone and on September 3, Massimo Luca closes the music section with his guitar for Lucio Battisti in Tignale del Garda (Bs).

HYDSTVISERER – A special section with 6 events will be dedicated to great performers of the singing theater with special tributes: starting with Giorgio Gaber celebrated by Luca Maciacchini on June 28 in Desenzano del Garda (Bs); the three dates July 17 in Gavirate (Va), July 23 in Lovere (Bs) and September 9 in Baveno (Vco) dedicated to Nanni Svampa and Enzo Jannacci honored by Stefano Orlandi on August 27 in Oggiono (Lc).

CIVIL THEATER – In the 2022 edition, a new section dedicated to civil theater is added with the moving play in honor of the unforgettable Peppino Impastato thanks to Stefano Annoni on September 17 in Toscolano Maderno (Bs).

COMIC THEATER – Also this year, the event provides space for comedy with 5 dates: In Legnanesi in Luino (Va) on 14 June in collaboration with Comedy Festival, Danilo Vizzini on 30 July in Monte Isola (Bs), Alberto Patrucco on 7. August in Colico (Lc), Flavio Oreglio, Claudio Batta, Richi Bocor and Francesca Puglisi on 13 August in Chiavenna (So) and Max Pisu on 17 September in Stresa (Vco).

This year, the festival will also host a surprise event at the Parco Ciani in Lugano (Swiss Confederation) in collaboration with the Lugano Long Lake Festival.
