Pnrr and Health Professions: The Value of Multiprofessional Teams in Community Centers and Hospitals

06 JUNE

Dear Director,
the new organizational formulas for territorial assistance planned by the NRP must, from the outset, with conviction and concreteness, focus on the multi-professional teams in the analytical, diagnostic and assistance services provided to the Community’s homes and hospitals. The digital transformation of the NHS, the appropriate use of new diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative technologies to deliver quality services, even at the client’s home, comes from the know-how that our healthcare professionals have acquired over the years, and especially in the last two due to the pandemic .

It will therefore be necessary to work by addressing the staff shortage of the necessary professional qualifications: each of the association’s health professions in its diversity possesses and provides a significant competence to prevent and offer assistance measures to a population that is increasingly affected. by aging and chronic processes, pathologies, but also with specific needs in developmental age.

The use of biomedical laboratory health technicians (Tslb) in the pharmacy, the professional suitability for sampling and the integration of the subject in the Committee for the Good Use of Blood. Finally, the cooperation between the regions with the National Federation of Order of Health Professions to define technologies, organizational and operational systems and the minimum standard requirement for technical health personnel to be employed in the laboratory services of budding community homes and hospitals, the proposals are relaunched on the sidelines of the First National Congress in the category, which took place on 4, 5 and 6 June in Bologna.

A conference organized by the National Register Commission of the Federation of the Orders of the Professions s TSRM and PSTRP, which also outlined the point on the reform process of the executive orders for the health professionals created by Act 3/2018.

Medicine has developed enormously in recent decades and has become a highly specialized art, in continuous development, more and more sophisticated, technological and in constant progress.

If we think of a more streamlined care system that optimizes the delivery of services as designed by NRP, the traditional hospital organization must therefore be overthrown. Care to make the NHS more efficient should provide mechanisms to achieve more efficient and appropriate services capable of filtering access to the hospital where the clinical components are separated from the productive ones. Such a choice makes it possible to strengthen a large welfare heritage such as the territorial one.

The stress test of the pandemic has put under the lens the importance of working in true multi-professional teams, a legacy that our national federation and the commissions of the register of the 19 health professions consider to be an asset to be protected, protected and valued. Today, all healthcare professionals make Italian healthcare one of the best in the world.

In this context, the unsatisfactory financial remuneration in relation to the commitment, the daily fatigue that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic also play a role.

There is a lack of intermediate structures, there are no health professionals, especially medical staff, nurses and health technicians. There is a need to qualify the diagnostic, therapeutic and assistance pathways and develop those where there is a greater need. In practice, taking advantage of the pandemic, studying the territorial area, the diagnosis and treatment services, calibrating them according to needs is the work that awaits us between now and 2026.
