Culture, young people and companies meet for the Cherasco History International Award

CHERASCO Culture, business and young people: with the Cherasco History International Prize, the international nomination with cultural meetings at the highest level is back, scheduled in Cherasco next Thursday 26 May and Saturday 28 May in the area in front of Arco del Belvedere for an even richer 22nd edition . This year, the prize, born in 1997 to give due prominence to Italian and foreign works – translated and published in Italy – that has dealt with historical themes with a compelling narrative, will be awarded to Augustine Sedgewick, Professor at City University of New York , with his latest book, “Coffeeland. The Story of an Empire That Dominates the World.” A story starting from the highlands of El Salvador, where James Hill, originally from England, founded one of the largest coffee dynasties in the world in the early 20th century. A book that offers new perspectives on today’s world, where seemingly distant people are actually closer than one imagines, has become an inevitable ritual in everyday life.

A much-anticipated moment of the award – following the success of the 2021 edition – will be the dialogue between entrepreneurs and students scheduled for Thursday 26 May. From kl.
