1. CONTRADA AND GAI FOUNDATION – CALL THE PORTICI SQUARE FOR YOUNG URBAN ARTISTS

The call for applications is online Spazio Portici – Creative roadsa project of Contrada Torino Foundation Onlus which for 2021-22 takes place along with GAI – Association for Circuit of Young Italian Artists, with contributions from the city of Turin and the collaboration with Torino Creativa. The initiative aims to promote an unusual use of the urban system by transforming it into a place for open-air exhibitions, with which one can support the public space and its main functions: sociality, inclusion, transfer of knowledge, improving the perception of quality, urban, but also propose a new dimension of artistic expression, integrated with the space of the city, in an untraditional way. For its third edition, Spazio Portici launches a national open call aimed at collecting proposals from young urban artists from different Italian territories for the creation of curatorial and creative paths under the arcades of Turin, to be reproduced and presented as temporary exhibitions. . The call is aimed at curators and artists up to the age of 35, active in the visual arts, graphics, design, architecture, photography through two application sections, one professional and one educational (the latter more specifically dedicated to colleges and institutes in Piedmont). The winning projects will benefit from financial prizes and opportunities for presentation within a work calendar between spring and autumn 2022. Participation in the competition is free and open.

2. PARALELLOZERO – ISPA PHOTO COMPETITION DEDICATED TO SUSTAINABILITY

It is open for registrations per ISPA – Italian Sustainability Photo Award. Curated by the Milanese photojournalist agency Parallellozero in collaboration with the investment company Pimco and with Nikon, it is the first photographic award on the themes of sustainability, not only environmentally, but understood in the sense of sustainable development, in the sign of innovation, accessible well-being, protection of the environment and biodiversity. The award, free and open to the participation of photographers from all over the world without age limit, offers in addition to the two cash prizes for the best picture and the best photographic history also the opportunity – unique case in Italy – to have funded an entire photographic project through a grant of 10 thousand Euro. Last year, for example, the grant provided the opportunity for the young photographer Matteo de Mayda to develop the work There is no silence after the storm, photographic project about the Vaia storm, the terrible meteorological event that in 2018 distorted the landscapes of the Dolomites and left millions of trees on the ground. This year, too, the jury will be chaired Tiziana Ferrario and brings together well-known exponents from the world of publishing and photography.

3. ISIT.MAGAZINE – CALL FOR COLLABORATION WITH ONLINE / OFFLINE MAGAZINE

5. LA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA – THE CALLS OF THE BIENNAL COLLEGE DANZA FOR DANCERS AND CHOREOGRAPHERS

In fact, two new calls for Biennale College Dance, intended to select 16 dancers, between 18 and 30 years old, and 2 choreographers, starting from 18 years old, who come from all over the world, respectively. The second edition of the Biennale College dedicated to the dance sector under the guidance of Wayne McGregorin search of the “visionaries of tomorrow”, will, after a three-month journey, conclude by presenting the two short original compositions created by the 2 choreographers on the stage of the 16th International Festival of Contemporary Dance (22nd> 31st July). in collaboration with 16 dancers, mentor the same director Wayne McGregor.

Born in Turin, she graduated in contemporary art history at the Turin Dams with a dissertation on cultural pollution in Piero Ruggeri’s 1950s image production.
