“Make the ‘Cecchi’ Agricultural Technical and Professional Institute of Pesaro a reference point for the territory, a place for research and educational innovation, a cultural, relational and training center for pupils, parents, teachers, school staff and full citizenship for continuing education”. A mission, the one that was put off school principal Donatella Giuliani at the height of a school which, born in 1876, is preparing to cut a century and a half of life, and which is the second stage of the new journey “Terra e Vita” among agricultural institutions spreading knowledge and professional pride in primary sector in our country.
1,000 agricultural students
The department now has about 1,000 studentswhich, together with 170 teachers and 100 non-teaching staff, including technicians, administrators, canteen and boarding school staff, farm and garden staff, shapes an active and hard-working community, involved in numerous projects, activities and initiatives that favor full integration with the local and regional reality.
Two fields of study, technical and academic
The ‘Cecchi’ has two courses of study, one technical-technological and one professional. The first is characterized by the presence of three links of diploma of agricultural expert: production and processing of products, land management and viticulture and enology. The second, services for agriculture and rural development, instead issues three qualifications – agricultural operator, improvement and marketing of agricultural products in the area, management of forest resources and mountain resources – and five-year agrotechnical diploma. The headquarters of a manor house from 1700
Alt i historic Villa Caprile, surrounded by its monumental gardens and immersed in the green of the San Bartolo Natural Park. The old manor house is used as a presidency, offices, library; the boarding school sleeping area is located in the west wing; the east wing houses teaching rooms, laboratories and the stucco gallery, where the inclusion group’s classroom and laboratory are located. The complex is completed by a restored building that houses outdoor chemistry and analysis laboratories, meristematics and biochemical analysisof instrumental analysis, as well as a noble chapel.
A 35 hectare farm with basement and greenhouses

The two glass and iron greenhouses, a horticulture and a flower house, are added another, innovative and technological, carried out as part of one of the last financial projects on ‘Cecchi’. The agricultural company extends for 35 hectares of arable land, vineyards, olive groves, forests and gardensall places available for student exercises and supplementary activities.
