(NYSE: GRMN), a world leader in satellite navigation, presents the series ECHOMAP ™ UHD2, the new 5 “and 7” plotters combined with Ultra High-Definition technology, integrated Wi-Fi® to share sonar and user data between two ECHOMAP UHD2 devices quickly and easily, traditional CHIRP, ClearVü CHIRP ™ and CHIRP SideVü ™. Equipped with new hardware and clear color screens that are perfectly legible under sunlight, the ECHOMAP UHD2 plotters have comfortable physical keys that allow you to optimally control all the functions that determine a successful exit for the angler. These include marking new waypoints or quickly switching between different screens.
Wireless data and echo sharing between devices
If you need to add another chartplotter on board, the integrated wireless network allows the user to conveniently share sonar images and data such as waypoints and routes between two ECHOMAP UHD2 wired devices.
The ECHOMAP UHD2 has an echo module with 500W power and, when combined with the GT20-TM transducer, it provides richly detailed images of structures, lures and fish directly on the plotter screen. For even greater accuracy, users can add a GT24UHD-TM transducer with Ultra-High Definition Scanning Sonar – Traditional CHIRP and ClearVü – to the built-in system to more clearly and understandably identify targets in vibrant color compositions and brilliant.
Cartography essential for sailing and fishing
The new chartplotters are equipped with integrated Wi-Fi® connectivity, which also gives access to ActiveCaptain ™, the content-rich app that allows you to consult, purchase, update and sync maps, quickly update built-in devices to the latest available software version , receive Smart Notifications, calls and SMS directly on the chartplotter display, connect to the ActiveCaptain community, download quickly and easily and share batymetry from the QuickDraw og community and much more.
The Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 is also compatible with the revolutionary Garmin Navionics® + cartography, which offers daily updates, map overlays and advanced technology, among other things. AutoGuidance + to quickly lead fishermen to the hardest-to-reach places.
Updated hardware and design
In synergy with aesthetic elements from the previous version of Echomap UHD, the new UHD2 series debuts with a significant hardware redesign to meet the needs of all anglers without sacrificing a clean and classic interface. To withstand all conditions, the ECHOMAP UHD2 chartplotters feature a bright screen that can be read in sunlight, plus the latest Garmin user interface and graphics for more intuitive handling and control.
