Painted Hospitals, founded by Silvio Irilli, is an artistic project that for the past ten years has dressed the wards, especially pediatrics, of Italian hospitals with colors and smiles.

“With The forest in the field I wanted to create an emotional path of over 250 square meters of wall surface, actually set in a forest that shines with the colors of nature – explained the author Silvio Irilli illustrates the works -. The ceiling “opens” to the sky, from where the characters emerge with musical instruments to greet and encourage with a “concert of emotions” the little patients who are to take the trip on a stretcher. The walls go into the woods, with some characters looking with a smile, while others fly over the Palazzo Ducale and the Parma Cathedral, the medieval castle of Torrechiara and the castle of Fontanellato, underlining the strong bond between this hospital structure and its territory. “I thank the Chiesi group – Irilli added – for believing and strongly wanting to bring the message from Painted Hospitals for the first time in Emilia Romagna and at Parma Hospital. I thank Dr. Icilio Dodi, Director of Emergency Pediatrics and the entire management of “I have also been enthusiastic about the artistic project. For me, it is also a source of pride to be able to support my artistic message with the Medicians, who from today will be able to welcome small patients with an extra color and imagination”.

We are pleased that the pediatric emergency room at Parma Hospital can show up today with a new face, able to give a smile to small patients, stimulate their curiosity and imagination – commented Alessandro ChiesiChief Commercial Officer for Chiesi Group -. Chiesi is today the largest B Corp-certified biopharmaceutical company, committed to improving the quality of life for people, their families and the communities in which it operates. We think first and foremost of patients as human beings, and we believe that the true concept of care extends far beyond drugs. An approach that characterizes the Children’s Hospital in Parma, where doctors and health professionals work daily for the health of the little ones and put their needs at the center, a spirit in which we recognize ourselves and to which we want to contribute. I therefore believe that Silvio Irilli’s work tells just that: the cure also through the settings and what they can convey“.

Astonishment was also painted on the faces of the healthcare staff at the sight of the set-up, which enriches an already colorful structure such as.l Pediatric Emergency Department and the wards at the Children’s Hospital.

It is with great pleasure that we present Bosco in the department – added the daily manager Massimo Fabi -, an initiative born of the creativity of painted hospitals and of Chiesi’s sensitivity, which renews an eternally obvious proximity to Parma Hospital. Moreover, this reinterpretation of space and ceilings fits perfectly into the principle of humanization of the environments that inspired the creation of the entire Pietro Barilla Children’s Hospital, designed to suit children and their parents in terms of colors, space and decor“.
